Alvaston Hall is an elegant Victorian half-timbered house nestled within 41 acres of beautiful Cheshire countryside. With over 250 individual bedrooms waiting to welcome you, boasting a blend of home comforts and distinctive features. Choose from an array of room types, including historic suites in the Victorian house or contemporary rooms with balconies. Our commitment to your comfort ensures every room is imbued with a cosy ambience, guaranteeing a restful night’s sleep. Complimentary amenities include Wi-Fi, plush towels, a television, hairdryer, comfortable seating and reading lights, and tea and coffee facilities.

Main House 

  • 33 historic rooms located in the Victorian house encased in its original oak work with period detail.
  • Rooms are accessed via a stairway next to the reception.
  • No lift access. 

The Limes 

  • 75 Standard, Signature and large Royale rooms
  • Rooms attached to the main building close to the reception and Fountains Bar
  • Royale rooms provide wheelchair access located at the end of the corridor.

Fairways 

  • 127 contemporary rooms arranged on either side of a long corridor which gently slopes 
  • Located beyond the main restaurant and closest to the Cheshire Barn Pub & Kitchen Pub
  • Standard room guests can enjoy views of the wildlife walk or leisure centre
  • Signature and Royal suite guests can enjoy breath-taking scenic views

Courtyard 

  • 18 rooms in the original stables creatively converted with meticulous attention to detail.
  • This private accommodation is located a short walk outside the main building.
  • Rooms benefit from a patio area
  • Not accessible for wheelchairs or scooters

Discover a colourful new deli counter featuring beetroot hummus, smoked trout and marinated vegetables to name just a few. Starters and desserts have been upgraded too and fun is most definitely on the menu - from bloody mary crumpets to tea and biscuit pudding. And if you're looking for something extra special, every night you'll find something new on the chef's specials menu, giving you even more to choose from.

  • Return transport to Shrewsbury: A town steeped in history, with Roman ruins, one of the county's oldest jails and an imposing medieval castle, Shrewsbury is a delight to explore. Situated on the banks of the River Severn, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a drink or lunch in one of the many cafes and restaurants on the riverbank. From the north by car

  • Exit the M6 at Junction 18
  • Take the A54 to Middlewich Town
  • Turn left onto the A530 signposted Nantwich, passing Leighton Hospital
  • At the next roundabout still continue on the A530, and Alvaston Hall is situated approximately one mile on the right-hand side

From the south by car

  • Exit the M6 at Junction 16
  • Follow the A500 signposted Nantwich & Chester, and at the forth roundabout take the third exit signposted A51 Chester
  • At the Peacock roundabout take the second exit and continue to the Alvaston roundabout and take the 4th exit A530
  • Alvaston Hall is situated approximately ½ mile along this road on the left-hand side
