Get ready for our best roast ever

The Great British roast is iconic. Comforting, delicious, and loved by so many. At all our hotels, you can enjoy daily roasts in our Market Kitchen restaurant every evening – and now, we’re making the roast even better! From 18th April – and just in time for Easter weekend! – we’re proud to be launching our best roast ever.
 
Through extensive research, testing and development, our chefs at Talbot Hall have reimagined the classic roast dinner, using improved recipes and the finest ingredients to bring you a truly unforgettable experience. Succulent, juicy meats carved to perfection, golden crispy roast potatoes, and all the mouth-watering sides you could wish for: every bite is designed to delight.

Perfectly roasted meats

Juicy chicken, flavourful beef brisket, perfectly cooked pork – our joints take centre stage on the carvery, prepared fresh every evening by our talented chefs. Cooked in seasonal glazes and rubs, the flavours of each joint are nothing short of exceptional. So no matter your choice, you’re in for a feast worth savouring.
 

The fluffiest roast potatoes

We searched high and low for the perfect potatoes, researching every potato in the UK and Europe, so each bite is golden perfection. Chosen specifically for roasting, our chefs use only eight varieties, on rotation based on seasonality. These are Sagitta, Accord, Arcade, Agria, Markies, Ramos, Valencia, Miranda and Fontane. Floury and light, these carefully selected potatoes make for the fluffiest and crispiest roasties.

Cauliflower cheese like no other

We believe cauliflower cheese should be nothing short of indulgent. Our chefs wrangled with the recipe in the test kitchen, experimenting with all sorts of different cheeses to find the perfect combination for the bechamel sauce. They eventually landed on the balanced blend of tangy, vintage Barbers cheddar and salty parmesan that pairs perfectly with our Lincolshire-grown florets. The result? A smooth, savoury and creamy cauliflower cheese that we can’t wait for you to taste.
 

Vibrant veggies for the win

Bringing a pop of colour to the carvery, our tender carrots are delicately glazed and accompanied by fresh, buttery peas. Veggie fan or not, these have been prepared with care and cooked to perfection and make for a fresh side to complement all parts of the famous roast.

Gravy that steals the show

Our gravy is the ultimate finishing touch. After hours of perfecting the recipe at Talbot Hall, we’re proud to present an enriched, flavour-packed sauce infused with veal jus, roasting juices and beef dripping that you’ll want to pour over everything. Trust us – it’s that good.
 

Yorkshire puddings worth the hype

No roast is complete without a Yorkshire pudding, and ours are a must-try. Made with golden free-range eggs and a traditional recipe, they’re gloriously puffed up and ready to soak up all that delicious gravy. The crowning glory to finish off your flavour-packed plate of foodie joy. The best part? We’re not stuck on Yorkshires being for beef roasts only – so no matter what meat is on the menu, our large Yorkshires will be available every day – that equates to about 10,000 per week across all our hotels!

Signature sides to get excited about

Throughout the week, our chefs will create signature sides that complement our roast joints. Think signature stuffing made with fresh bread and herbs, glazed pineapple, and deliciously crunchy salt and pepper crackling, plus an exciting new take on the pig in blanket!
 

Vegetarian, vegan and NCGI options

Everyone's different, and that's something we celebrate at Warner Hotels. Enjoy daily changing vegan and vegetarian options, plus NGCI (non-gluten containing ingredients) dishes, that provide endless choice and reassurance that you're catered for no matter your needs and preferences.
