Ray enjoyed an extensive career at the forefront of American Soul, performing alongside the likes of Joe Blunt, Ben E. King, Bill Fredericks, and Clyde Brown. As he spread his wings as a solo performer, Ray quickly acquired a reputation as one of the leading names in Soul music.
