Toby-Alexander Smith

A familiar face to live audiences, Toby has appeared on popular talk shows including Loose Women, The One Show, Secrets from the Square with Stacey Dooley, and BBC Radio 2 with Zoe Ball.

During his time on EastEnders, Toby portrayed a powerful domestic abuse storyline that spanned three years, earning him a BAFTA nomination for Must-See Moment. His compelling performance also led to multiple award nominations, including Best Soap Newcomer (I Talk Telly Awards), Best Villain (Inside Soap Awards, 2020–2022), and Villain of the Year (British Soap Awards, 2022). He won Best Villain at the Version Soap Awards in 2021. His screen credits also include Krypton, Flack, Berlin Station, and Doctors. Most recently, he starred as Mr. Bingley in Hallmark’s Pride and Prejudice adaptation and completed a film opposite Joan Collins.

Beyond acting, Toby is a dedicated advocate for domestic abuse awareness. Since 2019, he has been an Ambassador for Women’s Aid, supporting campaigns and events that challenge harmful societal norms and encourage conversations around healthy relationships.
